The National Fair of Academic Inventions awarded researchers

This is a sub-event of Property Week that is aimed at inventors and researchers.

The National Fair of Academic Inventions is a CEDIA proposal to make visible and recognize the work of academic inventors in the country, who have reached scientific proposals that meet protection standards through patents and utility models.

This is a sub-event of Property Week that is aimed at national and international inventors and researchers affiliated with a CEDIA member Higher Education Institution, which took place on April 27 and 28, 2023.

This year, 39 proposals were submitted, 81 researchers participated and the winners of the nine categories were:

Best Academic Invention:

  • Food composition for aquatic organisms.
    Of the inventors: Frank Alexis, Cristóbal Domínguez, Jenny Rodríguez, Alexis Martial Debut, Mery Ramírez.
  • Artificial Pancreas for patients with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.
    Inventors: Oscar Camacho, Pamela Haro, Estefanie Villareal and Diego Lombeida.

Best Innovative Invention:

  • Wireless system and method of long-range distribution of multimedia resources through an array of antennas.
    Inventors: Luis Quiñones, Darío Valarezo, Gabriela Mendieta, Manuel Quiñones, Marco Morocho and Byron Maza.
  • Best Inventor: Frank Alexis
  • Best Inventor: Diana Elizabeth Guaya Caraguay
  • Best Young Inventor: Henry Paúl Llumiquinga Loya
  • Best Young Inventor: Tañía Beatriz Tene Fernández
  • Best manager: Eduardo Mauricio Eguiguren Luzuriaga
  • Best manager: Lilia del Carmen Garrido Torres
  • Featured Academic Organization: National Polytechnic School (EPN)
