On April 15 of this year, the presidential elections of CEDIA for the period 2021-2024 were held, with the participation of Rectors and Vice Rectors of CEDIA member institutions.
Among the suitable candidates for the required position were; Nicolay Samaniego Erazo, PhD. Rector of the National University of Chimborazo - UNACH, and Cecilia Paredes Verduga, PhD. Rector of ESPOL, who, having the majority support of the highest authorities members of CEDIA , obtained the designation as President.
The electoral process was developed virtually and had the technical support of the International University of Ecuador - UIDE, the Electoral Tribunal of the board was chaired by the Rector of said Institution, Gustavo Vega, PhD.
We thank our outgoing President Nicolay Samaniego Erazo, PhD. for his hard work in our Corporation and in favor of the development of the Ecuadorian academy, and at the same time to the academic authorities that have participated in this electoral process.
Once again we congratulate our current President of CEDIA . We are sure that thanks to his extensive capacity, management and outstanding track record, he will know how to direct the Corporation to achieve new challenges and goals that are ever higher, continuing with our management in favor of the development of science, technology, academia and innovation in Ecuador.
We predict the greatest successes in your management, bearing in mind the support and backing of each of the collaborators that make up CEDIA .
