The Wolfram MathCore System Modeler team demonstrated how to use the CollegeThermal and CollegeBiology laboratories to support teaching and showcased their new advances in developing virtual laboratories for pasteurization processes.

The CollegeThermal program,
developed in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Turin, includes thermal laboratories for engineering students. After completing the labs, you will be able to design a radiator and a refrigeration cycle for a room under any given environmental conditions. The library also contains numerous exercises related to heat transfer and thermal engineering courses.

Features
• Dynamic simulation of thermal processes
• Exercises with real-life scenarios
• Compare scenarios by varying parameter values
• Interactive notebooks driven by system models
• Full access to all system models
• Open Educational Resource (OER)
• Allows combining CollegeThermal library components and Modelica standard library components

The CollegeBiology program
contains interactive biology labs for college students. After completing the labs, you will understand how DNA is manipulated in genetic testing, how to build a model of genetic inheritance, and how traits are inherited on the sex chromosomes. The library also contains many exercises related to PCR, electrophoresis, and autosomal recessive disease.
