In an effort to strengthen research and innovation in Ecuador, the Strategic Knowledge Management Workshop was successfully carried out as part of the TIC EC Scientific Congress. The event, which took place on October 18, 2023 at the University of Cuenca, brought together 30 researchers from various Ecuadorian universities who were winners of the XVII R&D&i Fund call.

The workshop focused on providing researchers with the necessary tools to efficiently manage the cycle of knowledge generated during the development of research projects funded by CEIDA.

The workshop addressed topics of utmost relevance to the scientific field, such as Intellectual Property strategies for scientific creations, Technological Surveillance and Competitive Intelligence for research processes. While competitive intelligence was presented as a fundamental resource for making informed decisions in research, as a prior step to the transfer of knowledge.

The atmosphere of the event was filled with enthusiasm and commitment from the participants, who expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn and collaborate with their peers. The holding of this workshop demonstrates the continued commitment of the Ecuadorian academic community to excellence in research, as well as to the promotion of an environment conducive to innovation and technology transfer.
