CEDIA and COMPTIA sign inter-institutional cooperation agreement

Through this agreement, Ecuador and the United States strengthen ties for the exchange of actions to improve bilateral trade in goods and services

CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the information technology (IT) industry and workforce, announced that it has signed a new agreement with two organizations to promote closer relations between the United States and Ecuador with the aim of improving the environment for bilateral trade and investment in related goods and services between the two nations.

Through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between CompTIA and the Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia (CEDIA).

“This agreement will lead to greater collaboration and stronger ties between the dynamic space industries of both nations,” said David Logsdon, Senior Director of the Public Sector and Executive Director of the Space Enterprise Council. He also mentioned that “CompTIA looks forward to facilitating productive partnerships between private companies in the United States and Ecuador as the commercial space industry continues to grow and expand.”.

This agreement will focus on four main areas:
  Developing strategies to advocate for a space partnership between the United States and Ecuador within their respective administrations and legislatures.
  Coordinating advocacy strategies and activities to share information and ideas, ensure consistency in messaging, and avoid duplication of efforts.
  Drafting joint letters with policy recommendations for both governments to use in these advocacy activities.
  Collaborating on strategies that emphasize workforce development for the space industry.
