CEDIA and Redalyc

During the first day of the LATAM Open Science Forum, held in Quito in September, a strategic alliance was announced between CEDIA and Redalyc/AmeliCA, with the aim of strengthening Ecuadorian scientific journals and promoting the dissemination of open science in the country.

The agreement was announced by Arianna Becerril García, President of Redalyc, during the discussion on Non-Commercial Open Access Scientific Journals , moderated by Andrea Mora, former president of the Reference. Becerril García highlighted the importance of this alliance to make Ecuadorian scientific production visible internationally and contribute to the development of a more solid and collaborative scientific community.

As a first step in this collaboration, CEDIA has organized a series of informative talks aimed at editors of Ecuadorian scientific journals, in order to familiarize them with the indexing criteria in Redalyc, one of the most important scientific journal indexing platforms in America. Latin and the Caribbean.

This initiative represents a significant milestone for the Ecuadorian scientific community, as it will allow national journals to achieve greater visibility and international recognition, as well as strengthen their editorial processes and comply with the quality standards required by the main scientific databases.
