CEDIA marks new milestones with the Continuing Training School and ESTALMAT

During this year, 177 courses were carried out online and in person.

In an effort to promote academic development in Ecuador, CEDIA has achieved significant milestones throughout 2023 through its Continuing Training School – EFC.

The EFC, committed to strengthening the skills and capabilities of personnel linked to CEDIA member institutions, has experienced notable growth. During the last year, 177 courses were carried out online and in person, with the active participation of 3,131 students. This achievement represents an impressive 12% increase, underscoring the positive impact of EFC's training initiatives.

The highlight of the EFC's educational offering is the diversification of innovative programs in virtual, online and in-person modalities. These programs, distributed across 23 different topics, cover crucial areas such as education, security, networks, among others. The adaptability of the programs has made it possible to reach the academic community and the business sector, both public and private, effectively, thus consolidating the role of the EFC as a reference in continuing training at the national level.

In the area of certifications, the EFC has promoted specializations that have experienced teachers in key areas of knowledge. During 2023, ten certifications were carried out, benefiting 1,275 participants and reaching more than 5,553 users to date. These certifications, which include Virtual Education, LINUX Administration, Advanced Research, Innovation and Technology Transfer, Cybersecurity, IPV6, SEO, Governance and Knowledge Management, are testament to CEDIA 's commitment to academic and professional excellence.

An additional aspect that highlights the contribution of the School of Continuing Training to the educational field is the ESTALMAT project, a program to stimulate mathematical talent supported by the Royal Academy of Sciences of Spain. This project offers extracurricular classes to students between 12 and 14 years old who are in secondary education, with the support of national and international teachers. In 2023, 46 workshops were held with the support of national and international teachers.

Currently, the ESTALMAT project is successfully implemented in the provinces of Azuay, Chimborazo and Guayas. During this year, 139 students benefited from this program, with 38 students in the province of Chimborazo, 42 in Guayas and 59 in the province of Azuay.

CEDIA , through the EFC and projects such as ESTALMAT , continues to stand out as a driving force of educational development in Ecuador, promoting academic excellence and professional growth in diverse communities.
