Our goal to achieve Universal Health Coverage – UHC
CEDIA , through its eHealth by CEDIA program, was selected as manager to form the national coalition of Transform Health, this global movement that works collaboratively and interdisciplinary in the transformation of primary health systems with the objective of achieving strategies for achieve universal health coverage (UHC), by 2030, that is equitable, accessible and sustainable.
With this objective, the first WORKSHOP Transform Health Ecuador Coalition was developed, an open and collaborative space, with open work tables methodology, which analyzed the current state of national digital health and the role of technology in it, in addition to propose initiatives that allow the formation of a medium and long-term strategy to manage the transformation of the UHC by 2030.
The workshop was led by Dr. Frank Smith, with more than 20 years of experience leading advocacy campaigns and political teams in the international development, humanitarian and human rights sectors. He has created and led several global health-focused campaigns, including Child Health Now at World Vision International and No More Epidemics at Management Sciences for Health. Frank has also worked with the private sector as Head of Policy and Campaigns for Airbnb in Spain and Portugal.
