Estalmat Program

This project was created with the support of the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences, sponsored by the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) of Spain.

CEDIA through its Executive Director, Dr. Juan Pablo Carvallo, with the endorsement of the Royal Academy of Exact and Natural Sciences of Spain, and with the unconditional support of Professor Rafael Crespo García, Director ESTALMAT of the Valencian community, have promoted the creation in Ecuador of the Estímulo al TALento MATemático - ESTALMAT program as a pilot program in the province of Azuay since 2019. This program selected 20 young people between the ages of 12 and 14 with aptitudes for mathematics so that they can develop their skills through different workshops that allow them to increase their knowledge and interest. Due to the great success of the ESTALMAT program call 2019 - 2021 CEDIA , continuing to support the development of Mathematical Stimulus, launches the second call in the province of Azuay and extends the program to the province of Chimborazo with the endorsement of the National University of Chimborazo.

Under this background, we invite 12 and 13-year-old students from fiscal, fiscal and private schools in the provinces of Azuay and Chimborazo to enroll in the ESTALMAT 2021 program.

Registration date: until September 20, 2021
