BELLA Project (GEANT – RedCLARA – CEDIA )
CEDIA is part of the BELLA program, which allows to strengthen the connectivity between Latin America and Europe with high capacities (in the order of Nx100G) to promote the exchange of transatrantic traffic and satisfy the research and education needs between the regions.
As the first milestone of these activities within Ecuador, a joint effort was carried out between CEDIA and RedCLARA to exchange the first packets in the 300Gbps section to Panama on April 26, 2022, thus marking a before and after within the capacities offered to CEDIA members.
