BELLA Project (GEANT – RedCLARA – CEDIA )
CEDIA is part of the BELLA program, which allows for the strengthening of connectivity between Latin America and Europe with high capacities (in the order of Nx100G) to promote the exchange of transatlantic traffic and satisfy the research and education needs between the regions.
On June 16, 2022, the official launch of the project in Ecuador was held within the USFQ facilities with the presence of representatives of CEDIA , USFQ and the European Union.
As of June 24, the complete migration was carried out so that CEDIA and its members have full access to the capacities delivered in the 300Gbps BELLA project. These works mark a milestone within the academic community of Ecuador and Latin America by taking a great leap in terms of connectivity capabilities and collaborative work to achieve this project."
