Within the framework of Intellectual Property Week, CEDIA launched the National Fair of Academic Inventions, which aims to highlight and recognize the work of academic inventors in the country.
Within the framework of Intellectual Property Week, CEDIA launched the National Fair of Academic Inventions, which aims to highlight and recognize the work of the country's academic inventors who have worked on scientific proposals that meet protection standards through the category of patents and utility models (small patents) in intellectual property.
The Fair had several categories from which the best inventors and inventions were selected to recognize the work done.
1. Best Academic Inventor: Benito Eduardo Valarezo Valdez, PhD.
2. Best Female Academic Inventor: Diana Elizabeth Guaya Caraguay, PhD.
3. Best Academic Manager: From the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, represented by academic manager Mauricio Eguiguren.
4. Best Female Academic Manager: VICE-RECTORATE OF RESEARCH of the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, managers Belén Soriano and Nataly Campos.

5.1. Anticonvulsant activity of turmeric oil and its sesquiterpenoid bisabolones: Dr. Adriana Orellana, University of Cuenca

6. Best Innovative Invention: Device for the release of essential oil from a plant matrix by centrifugal crushing in immersion: Eduardo Balarezo and Diana Guaya.
