General Objective: Develop eco-packaging from biodegradable waste such as avocado seed and agave waste.
Specific objectives
- Determine the yield of the extraction of starch and cellulose discarded by the agro-industry.
- Characterize biopolymers, thermoplastic starch, cellulose nanofibers and nanocrystals using different analysis techniques.
- To study the products obtained from the mixtures of thermoplastic starch with fibers, nanofibers and nanocrystals.
- Determine the water vapor permeability of the films obtained from TPS and its mixtures.
- Analyze the biodegradability of the mixtures in compost.
