Researchers from the various CEDIA member universities, in collaboration with different actors in the national innovation ecosystem, who fall within the following categories, may apply to this call:

  • Private enterprise
  • Public institutions
  • Civil society organizations
  • Investment capital organizations

Yes, they must be submitted jointly by a CEDIA and a stakeholder in the national innovation ecosystem. The parties must submit their application through the Easychair, along with all the information requested at the following link.

The 1-to-1 Funding comes from two sources. On the one hand, CEDIA finances the project up to a maximum of USD 20,000. On the other hand, the national innovation ecosystem stakeholder presented as an interested counterpart in the project will contribute a minimum amount equal to the funding provided by CEDIA.

Yes, in all cases the counterpart's contribution will be 100% in cash as established in the Fund's bases 1ª1, literal d. of the Financing and Budget Management section.

This process aims to transfer the knowledge generated in the research, as well as the intellectual property rights, from the creators/University to companies or public or private institutions that are interested in achieving the development.

Projects in stages other than the one initially presented, which have already received prior funding from the CEDIAcorporation, will not be accepted without exception.

The project must be completed within 18 months:

  • Technical phase (development and implementation of the project): 12 months
  • Knowledge Management Phase (Implemented by CEDIA): 6 months

In its role as facilitator CEDIA does not receive any financial benefit; the fund's objective is to encourage investment in academia for R&D&I processes.

According to the Financing and Budget Management section of the Fund's guidelines, in section f it is established that the Fund's resources will be executed by each of the financiers, that is, CEDIA will manage its resources and the counterpart will manage its own.
