Our goal is to achieve Universal Health Coverage – UHC
CEDIA, through its eHealth by CEDIAprogram, was selected as the manager to form the national coalition of Transform Health, this global movement that works collaboratively and interdisciplinarily in the transformation of primary health systems with the goal of achieving strategies to achieve universal health coverage (UHC) by 2030, which is equitable, accessible and sustainable.
With this objective, the first WORKSHOP Transform Health Ecuador Coalition was developed, an open and collaborative space, with a methodology of open working tables, which analyzed the current state of national digital health and the role of technology in it, in addition to proposing initiatives that allow forming a medium and long term strategy to manage the transformation of the UHC by 2030.
The workshop was led by Dr. Frank Smith, who has over 20 years of experience directing advocacy campaigns and political teams in the international development, humanitarian, and human rights sectors. He has created and led several global health-focused campaigns, such as Child Health Now at World Vision International and No More Epidemics at Management Sciences for Health. Frank has also worked in the private sector as Head of Policy and Campaigns for Airbnb in Spain and Portugal.
