Launch of the Copernicus Observatory Ecuador and Hackathon

The Copernicus Observatory Ecuador is an initiative aimed at strengthening national capacities in research, innovation, and the strategic use of satellite data. With its launch, the Copernicus Observatory Hackathon will take place, bringing together interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions using data from the Copernicus program and CEDIA , such as virtual machines (VMs) and CEDIA , addressing challenges in areas such as climate change, biodiversity, transportation, health, data governance, and digital transformation.
The call for team registration will be open from March 5 to 15, and the selection results will be announced on March 17, 2026. Teams must consist of three to five members, led by a representative from a CEDIA member CEDIA .

• Time:  8:30 am.
• Location: Wyndham La Quinta Hotel. Avenida De Los Shyris N37-53 and Naciones Unidas.
