A first initiative of the CIO University Forum, with the support of CEDIA, was the creation of the first study on the state of ICT in Ecuadorian universities. This document will have a positive impact on the national academic system; the institutions that comprise it now have a tool that will allow them to comparatively define roadmaps and agendas for improvement in the field of ICT.

We invite the reader to carefully review the results presented in this study, reflect on them, and proactively use them as a basis for projecting their institutions toward a better future, in which ICTs adequately help in achieving their academic, research, and community engagement objectives.
